Powell Bros. was established in 1927, by three brothers Jewell, Harry And Herman Powell in Springfield, MO and sold to T I M E Inc, before it became TIME-DC. in 1959. At one time they had terminals in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma , Kansas , And Illinois before the buy out.
Two photo`s of Powell Bros. Driver`s and management year and location unknown. This was sent to me by Wayne Craig. His Dad, Victor Craig started driving for Powell Bros. In 1937 and in the late 50`s or early 60`s , T I M E bought Powell out. He retired from T I M E in 1967. 1939 tractor and trailer for Powell Bros Truck Lines of Springfield, MO.
