Roadway Express, Inc. unit #46000 layed over at Ft Pierce motel 1982. Here is C & W performer Mickey Gilley from Pasadena, TX road Pete layed over at the beachside Holiday Inn in Ft Pierce while he was in town for a concert at the local civic center in 1982. Ken Bay a building products supplier not sure where from. This was taken in 1985 in Melbourne, FL back when gas was a bargain.
Lloyd Citrus Trucking Ft Pierce, FL was participating in the annual Cattleman's Parade on FL Route 70 in Ft Pierce in 1982. North American Van Lines International Two tone green White 7400 was waiting to be sealed for Canadian Customs when I found him at the Ft Pierce, FL U.S.D.A. office in early 1981.
This Redwing White Road Boss was out of their Tampa, FL home terminal and was taken in late 1984 at Patrick AFB, FL. The Mack COE for Redwing was from their Jacksonville, FL terminal and was also shot in late 1984 offloading JP-4 fuel at Patrick AFB. Inco Express, Inc. Kenworth K100 and Freightliner COE from Seattle, WA taken at Davis, BC in the summer of 1980 Here is AAA Cooper from Dothan, AL in 1981 stopped for a delivery near Ft Pierce. I shot this Global Van Lines Kenworth in 1981 in the old downtown section of Ft Pierce.

Pete COE operating and B & S taken in Feb. 1974 at Indian River Truck Brokerage W. of Vero Beach, FL along FL Route 60 Ford COE for T.F. Dunlap Trucking from Ohio. They were a contract hauler for Pease Evertight Doors & Windows. I found this one at O'Connor Lumber in Westfield in 1973. GMC 9500 O/O leased to Pittsburgh & New England Trucking, Dravosburg, PA 1973 at Westfield Howard Johnson's
KW COE leased on with Pittsburgh & New England Trucking at agent's yard in Westfield, MA near U.S. 20 in 1973 This W.T. Byrns Motor Express still had it's colors but also wore Ryder Truck Lines Jacksonville, FL on the door above it. Perhaps someone knows if this was a true Byrns unit or one that had come over from RTL and was painted in Byrns livery. Came across this nice looking Mayflower KW COE on U.S. 5 in W. Springfield in 1974.
The O/O of this GMC Astro was also an Overdrive Magazine Roadmaster (see the little logo) and was layed over at a W. Springfield motel in 1974. This unidentified Brockway was stopped in 1974 at the Valley View Diner at the intersection of U.S. 5 and I-91 in W. Springfield, MA.
North Hickory Furniture from Hickory, NC was taken in 1974 at a motel along U.S. 5 in W. Springfield, MA. This neat old Pete was leased on with the reefer division of Transamerican Freight Lines out of Detroit, MI. I found him just before sunset across the street from the Marquis Texaco Truck Stop on U.S. 5 in W. Springfield during late fall of 1974. Here's an early evening shot of an interesting looking Freightliner nicknamed "Mar Mar" who was leased on with Rowley Interstate from Dubuque,IA and was parked at the Marquis Texaco also during the summer of 1974.
I saw this KW conv. parked at the Westfield, MA Hojo's the previous evening in spring 1974 so I got up extra early the next morning and rode my bike down there to take this shot just as it was getting light then I peddled on off to high school. This Diamond Reo from Maine was stopped at a parking area across from Exit 3 of the Mass Pike in Westfield during a foggy early morning in 1974. This IH Transtar was owned by B. H. Hutson and was delivering to The Springfield, MA farmer's market complex in 1974
It was commmon during the winter months for deliveries of bulk aluminum to be backed in and the door closed as much as possible at Sterling Radiator in Westfield, MA. This O/O was leased on with Pittsburgh & New England Trucking based in Dravosburg, PA and shot in early 1974. I ran across this Pete stopped at the entry/exit road to the farmer's market complex in Springfield during 1974
These two rigs are W.bound on I-80 at Fairfield, CA sometime in 1976 James Mayflower agent was layed over at Terminal Stations in 1976 Unidentified IH 4200 & West Coast Truck Lines Freightliner COE were also at Terminal Stations in 1976
Terminal Stations was also hosting this FWD for Hilt Truck Lines out of Omaha, NE. This was the same Hilt that Crete bought and renamed HTL before eventually folding it under the Crete name. This lineup was frozen in time back in April 1976 at the Truckadero ARCO along CA 99 & Mack Rd. just S. of Sacramento That funky looking devise hanging off the left side of the bumper on the IH 4300 was a machine used to remove rubber buildup from the landing area's of runways. This contractor was at Travis AFB, CA in May 1979 to do such a project.
The light green IH Emeryville belonged to ag hauler Clark Trucking or Truck Lines from W. Sacramento, CA. I found him in July 1976 at the Terminal Stations Texaco along I-80 at Cordelia, CA. Here is one of Guthmiller Trucking's specialized drum hauling units pulling into Terminal Stations in April 1976. Guthmiller was based out of one of the many East Bay area cities near Fremont, CA. I heard they were Teamsters and eventually closed their doors sometime in the 1980's. Taken at the Truckadero ARCO along CA 99 & Mack Road S. of Sacramento in April 1976 Guthmiller drum hauler stopped by the Cordelia,CA Terminal Stations. It was Union City, CA where Guthmiller was based. Two unidentified rigs who were also stopped by Terminal Stations during 1976.
