Kenworth W900L with spread axle reefer, shot on a October Sunday, 2000 along I-80 near Barkeyville PA. I-80 thru Pennsylvania, on a Sunday, is a steady stream of trucks heading east, jokingly refered to as the "Hunt's Point 500" after the infamous New York City produce market.
Here are 2 of a 1996 KW W900L owned By Earl Evans of Canfield, Ohio on one of Paul's trips with him (as co-driver). The first is on a Sunday morning, November 1996 in Western Nebraska, on the way to Los Angeles, CA with a load of titanium from a Canfield mill, destined for 3 different defense contractors. The second picture shows Paul ready to saddle up for the last leg home of the same trip. All told they ran 6000 miles in 7 days, from Youngstown, Ohio to Los Angeles, with the titanium. Then hauling rolled roofing back from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, PA., then deadheading home. The timeframe also included a 20 hour layover in Las Vegas.

Here are a pair of Kenworth T600's eastbound up a mountain grade just east of Salt Lake City, Utah along I-80. The company is Transontinental Refrigerated Lines (TRL) out of Pittston, Pa., near Scranton. Taken June 1993.

Weir-Cove Moving and Storage is a major steel hauler out of Weirton, WV. Traditionally a big user of Western Stars and Ford Louisvilles. More recently Volvo's have been added to the fleet. Shot of Western Stars at the Weirton terminal in September 2000.

Sidley is a major manufacturer of precast concrete products out of northeast Ohio. They run their own private fleet. Mack CH600 hauling precast wall panels shot along I-79 southbound in northern West Virginia in October 2000.
Perfetti Trucking Freightliner out of Blairsville, PA. Traditionally a major steel hauler but with a relatively new reefer division. Shot along I-79 in northern West Virginia in October 2000.

Kenworth W900L tri-axle dump, typical for western Pennsylvania, The picture was shot at Marie's Truck Stop along I-70 in Smithton, PA in June 2000. Leased to CATS Transport out of Connellsville, PA. This set-up can gross 73,280lbs. on 4 axles.
Peterbilt 377 from Mill Creek Motor Freight out of the Holland Michigan terminal pulling a refrigerated pup from Lynden Transfer. Shot in Pittsburgh, PA. at the headquarters building for PPG Industries (Pittsburgh Paint and Glass) in March 1999 unloading large blocks of ice from Alaska for sculpturing as part of the St. Patricks Day celebration. Note the painted trailer tires to allow the driver to be sure the wheels haven't frozen up.
