| Rebuilt 1965 IH Emeryville owned by an owner-operator from New Springfield, Ohio. Shot in November 2003, it is still a working truck, pulling a 50' reefer hauling fresh fish on a regular run from Boston to St. Louis, with brokered loads to and from Ohio. The truck has been run as far west as Seattle. It was just retired for the winter, with the owner now driving his very well kept '79 KW COE. Both trucks run about an even split of 50K miles a year. The second Emeryville is a spare he picked up and is unique in that it has an aluminum frame. The trucks can usually be seen off of the Ohio Pike EB at about MM 234/5. |

Benkhart Rigging taken along the turnpike near Pittsburgh in an area is called Cranberry Township. Benkhart is an old name in trucking in this area. The owner is the grandson of John Benkhart, who used to run John Benkhart and Son's, which I remember primarily as a steel hauler, a fairly large fleet for the time, maybe around 100 trucks.
