Yellow Transportation VN stopped at the Perry, GA Walmart on Valentine's Day 2008

Two Amigo's Logistics out of Winnepeg, Manitoba had stopped at this Shell fuel stop at X-51 off I-16 near Dublin, GA in May 2005. The owner/operator lof this double bunk IH leased to Overnite Express from Minnesota was resting close to I-24 X-174 near Chattanooga, TN late one summer in the mid 90's. I found this real sharp KW leased to Carolina Pride Foods at the Vero Beach T/A sometime in the mid 90's.

This was taken in May 1990 at TruckWorld along I-80 at Girard, OH which is the 1st Westbound exit in Ohio coming out of PA. Kleen Brite from the Rochester, NY area had pulled up beside this Builders Transport unit back in 1989 at X-374 of where I-75 & I-40 run together for several miles on the W. side of Knoxville, TN. Here's two good looking wreckers for Bob Parker Towing in Jackson, TN. Photo was taken along U.S. 45 on the S. side of Jackson in early 1991.

This "big bunk" O/O leased to Southern Pride from San Diego, CA was at the Vero Beach, FL T/A in March 2007 I came across this restored Pete from Monroe, GA that stood out in the middle of a row of plain jane and truckload rigs at the Adel Truck Stop Exit 39 of I-75 down in South Georgia. We had stopped at a Wendy's next door so I ran over and shot these two photo's with Lisa's digital on May 18, 2008.

I see Ram Contract Carriers on I-75 every so often. They look like an Ontario based O/O fleet. This was about the sharpest Volvo VN tractor I've ever seen. Here's a "moldie oldie". Paradise Custom Towing taken along U.S. 30 at Paradise, PA which is about 10 miles E. of Lancaster in the heart of PA Amish Country.

Nice looking Kenworth W900L pulling a lowboy trailer We came upon this big n fancy Pete about the time we were getting off the N.Y. Thruway (I-90) at the I-190 exit near Buffalo. This was the best she could do for what angles, space and short amount of time we had to take some kind of picture of this monster rig taken in April/May 2008.

Here is Big G Express Northbound on U.S. 25E a little North of Tazewell, TN taken in April/May 2008. A real sharp O/O leased on with Jack Cooper Transport layed over on a Sunday morning along U.S. 25E near Barbourville, KY in early May 2008. I grabbed Lisa's digital and pulled off of S.bound U.S. 25E on the East end of Corbin and caught this livestocker from Somerset, KY as he rolled by us in Early May 2008.

Thomas Trucking out of Cincinnatti, OH was pulling out of the Pilot lot in Corbin, KY along I-75 at exit 29 taken in April/May 2008. This O/O leased to Woodcock Bros. from Ontario was gettiing ready to back into a parking slot at the Corbin, KY Pilot taken in April/May 2008. Here's a second shot Lisa took of that same Woodcock Bros. Western Star backing into the parking slot at the Corbin, KY Pilot in early May 2008.

I found this 1948 Chevy panel truck out in the woods along a country road near Red Banks, MS in the rain during March 2008. The owner of it said he still has the keys and the title paperwork to it. The inside is all rotted out though, but if anyone is interested in restoring it I can put you in contact with the owner. This Mitchell Foodland from Albertville, AL was stopped at the Alabama Welcome Center on Southbound I-65 in March 2008. This sharp Pete for Graves Oil Co. from somewhere in Mississippi was offloading at a convienence store at the intersection of TN Route's 57 & 125 near Middleton, TN in late March 2008.

ETI-Everhart Trucking, Inc. Greeneville, TN May 2008 at Love's I-81 X-4 near where I-81 begins/ends with I-40 East of Knoxville, TN. TKX Logistics, Inc. based in Northwood, OH which is the transportation arm of Thyssenkrupp Materials NA a large German conglomerate of various industrial suppliers. This shot was taken at the T/A on I-64 midway between Charleston & Huntington, WV in early May 2008. Yellow sleeper at the I-90 (New York Thruway) service plaza about 25 miles S.W. of the greater Buffalo metropolitan area on May 1, 2008.

This Averitt Express Pete 377 was stopped at the General Lee 66 Truck Stop along I-40 X-288 near Cookeville, TN sometime in the mid 1990's. Here's a NAVL rig I found stopped in Palm Bay, FL about 2001 B.A. Moore from Virginia was shot at the former Days Inn across the street from the Vero Beach, FL T/A in 1999

This was taken next to the huge Old Dominion break bulk along I-81 at X-4 right near where I-81 & I-40 merge about 35 miles E. of Knoxville, TN. This for Williams is now a Pilot. Turnbo Motor Express from Savannah, TN shot along AL Route 20 near Florence, AL Estes terminal in Springfield, MA in April 2000 before they moved into the former C-F break bulk in Chicopee.

This Ford Aeromax made for a nice picture back in the late 90's at the Vero Beach, FL T/A. Watkins had pulled into the N.bound I-75 rest area in Alachua County, FL on this foggy morning in Nov. 1997. Newton Transportation, Inc. Lenoir, NC is one of those classic NC based furniture hauling fleets. This Mack was unloading at a small furniture shop in summer 1999 along Lee Highway where U.S. Route's 11, 41, 64 & 72 all run together on the S.W. side of Chattanooga, TN near the base of Lookout Mountain.

Hills Trucking, Inc. out of Fredonia, NY which is right off the N.Y. Thruway S.W. of the Buffalo area. I found this Pete 362 at a small truck stop along I-91 & U.S. 5 near S. Deerfield, MA in April 2000. An O/O leased to Aluminum Express out of Ohio stopped at the North 40 Truck Stop at X-126 of I-40 in March 1991. This KW COE was leased on with Pro Aire Transport from Arizona somewhere and had stopped on the East side of Dayton, OH right off of I-70 back in May 1990.

Wanted to pass this early a.m. late 90's shot of Roadway #43483 along for L.T.L. fans out there. He had pulled into the Vero Beach, FL and i couldn't pass the opportunity up. Sept 1990 at the 76 Auto/Truckstop along I-75 at Wildwood, FL.

Here's super sharp Freightliner from Ontario that was layed over at the Vero Beach, FL T/A sometime in the late 1990's. This O/O had leased on with Deaton, Inc. and was waiting his turn to pull out of the Warner Robins, GA Pilot when I shot his nice looking Pete on Valentine's Day 2002. Good color rig for that date, ha! Here's a scenery shot taken in the mid 90's at the Citgo fuel stop by the Ft Pierce Florida's Turnpike exit. The CH Mack belonged to NAT-North Alabama Transportation and was hooked to twin pups.

Here's a "holy cow" looking Pete leased to Passport Transport from St Louis back before Fed EX acquired them pausing for me as he pulled out from under the fuel canopy at the Citgo fuel stop near the Ft Pierce Exit of Florida's Turnpike sometime in the mid 90's.

The driver of the classic Pete 359 who was leased on to an Allied agent posed it nicely for me on this concrete slab near Satellite Beach, FL sometime in the late 1980's. I came across this unit leased to Foreway from Coopersville, MI at the Stafford, MO T/A along I-44 N.E. of Springfield, MO in Oct. 1998. Found this "albino" Florida Coca-Cola Bottling IH at the Ft Pierce, FL Flying J along I-95 sometime in 2000 or 2001.

A Meade Trucking from Verona, VA toing another Meade on N.B. I-81 just north of Harrisonburg, VA on Oct. 28, 2008. Here's a McKee Baking Volvo VN sliding past us on N.B. I-81 right near Mt Jackson, VA. also on Oct. 28th. A nice sunset whiel we were S.B. on I-81 around the 137 mm near Salem, VA on Nov. 3, 2008.

Here we are stuck in an 8 mile traffic jam on N.bound I-81 near Roanoke, VA on Oct. 28, 2008 caused from an overturned semi that the wrecker crews had stop traffic while they were righting the wrecked rig in the median. Central Transport & Estes Express S.bound on I-81 while we were in that Roanoke area traffic jam.
I always stay in the far left lane during backups so I can see trucks moving in the opposite direction and those going in the same direction as us better.
Caldwell Freight Lines, Inc. is a sharp new furniture delivery fleet from NC. This Pete had just pulled out of the Loves Travel Plaza and was headed back to I-81 S. of Stephens City, VA on Nov. 3, 2008.

Sharp looking Marva Maid Dairy baby KW from the Norfolk, VA area at a Wilco Travel Plaza at X-291 near Toms Brook, VA along I-81 on Nov. 3, 2008. An eye catching sharp older KW at a truck stop on the New England I-90 section of the New York Thruway & NY Route 22 on Nov. 2, 2008. A very clean Pete leased to Stevens Transport from Dallas, TX at the Southbound service plaza on the I-87 section of the New York Thruway near Kingston on Nov. 2, 2008.

This harvester was right along U.S. 11 a little South of Mt Jackson in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley in early Nov. 2008.

Nice background setup for this Food City "shopping cart" that was at a S. bound I-81 rest area near Atkins/Marion on Nov. 3, 2008. I didn't catch the name of this fleet from Montana (I believe) that was stopped by the Transport For Christ chapel at the Wytherville, VA T/A on I-77 X-41 near Wytheville, VA also on Nov. 3, 2008. How's this for an oversize load!! It was parked at the I-81 N. bound rest area near Salem, VA on Oct. 28, 2008.

This heavy hauler from Ohio was at I-81 X-323 Flying J on Nov. 3, 2008. Depending if one is headed North or South. This is the last or first exit I-81 in Virginia just South of the Potomac River and WV state line. You see alot of these forest/timber products chip/sawdust type trailer around Central and South Georgia in support of the large logging industries found here. This unit had stopped at the Perry, GA Walmart in Sept. 2008. Chemical products company W. R. Grace operated a private fleet for many years and during the mid 80's the then new KW T-600 was the flagship OEM tractor for their longhaul operations. This one was at Whiskey Pete's Truckstop and Casino right near the CA/NV line on I-15 in Feb. 1987.

I came across this colorful MacSteel Service Centers USA from their Charlottesville, VA plant along at the first exit North of the Big Walker Mountain Tunnel on I-77 near Bland, VA on Nov. 4, 2008. Hazwaste and bulk hauler Suttles Truck Leasing from Demopolis, AL was the owner of this immaculate KW T-2000 that was at the Okahumka Service Plaza of Florida's Turnpike early evening on Aug. 31, 1997. I like the logo and colors Conley Transport from Searcy, AR uses. I was lucky to find these twins just pulling off of the fuel islands at the I-81 X-323 Flying J on the VA/WV line Nov. 3, 2008.

ITI, Industrial Transport, Inc. from Bluefield, VA just out from under the fuel canopy at the Wilco/Hess Travel Plaza at X-290 of I-81 S. of Stephens City, VA on Nov. 3, 2008. Lessors, Inc. from Minneapolis, MN at the Wilco/Hess I-81 X-290 in VA on Nov. 3, 2008. That's my first Cascadia picture as they are not the most photogenic appealing rigs in my opinion, but this one looked pretty good I thought.

MVT Mesilla Valley Transportation from Las Cruces, NM at the Lee-Hi Truck Stop on U.S. 11 just N. of Lexington, VA. The Lee-Hi is a long time in business and well known truckers stop that is situated inbetween I-81 & where I-64 splits off from I-81 toward West Virginia. Crystal Red KW T-600 from South Dakota at the Perry, GA Walmart in Sept. 2008. A Volvo VN leased to Landstar at a Pilot on I-81 near Greeneville, TN on Oct. 28, 2008.

Skelton Truck Lines Ltd. KW T2000 taken at the eastbound I-90/NY Thruway Service Plaza southwest of Buffalo. Western Star leased to Daily Express taken at the White Pine Pilot at I-81 and Exit 8 Jesus Christ is Lord - Not a swear word - taken at Wytheville, VA along I-77 and Exit 42.

Ashley Furniture Industries from Arcadia, WI was at the Madison, GA Pilot where I-20 & U.S. 441 cross each other. Here's an extra sharp Pete with Eubanks lettered on the cab door from what looks like NJ at the S.B. I-95 rest area just N. of Ft Pierce, FL I took sometime in the mid 1990's. This Freightliner was leased on with Frontier Transport based near Atlanta and had pulled into the S.B. I-75 rest area just before the I-75 & I-475 split a little N. of Macon, GA.

These are a few pic's from our recent vacation. Sorry about the windshield wiper getting into the picture of the UPS/Overnite truck that Lisa took. It was drizzling just enough to have the wipers on intermittent. This photo op came up and Lisa only had a few seconds to fire this shot off. This was near Charm, Ohio right in the heart of Ohio Amish country. This Bulkmatic tanker posed nicely for my camera at the Perry, GA Walmart also in March 2008. FlexSteel from their Dublin, GA office furniture plant at the S.B. I-75 rest area about MM178 just N. of the I-475 bypass of Macon, GA Nov. 2008.

Two shots of these sharp Petes for Alberta based hauler Watt Stewart Commodities also at the Madison, GA Pilot. Here is a close up of one of those Watt & Stewart Pete's with the new style headlights. Man, those must be some expensive tires!!

This was the first Cascadia that I've seen pulling a "covered wagon". It was running for Jaro Transportation, Inc. from Warren, OH and was at the madison, GA Pilot. This O/O was leased to Lone Star Transportation out of Texas and was layed over at the Great Inn next to the Perry W/M. I'll be buying my own digital in the next few weeks. No more prints after these final 4 rolls. Not sure if that's good, bad or just part of dealing with the future. A lucky find on a morning shopping run. This extra sharp new big bunk Pete that had pulled into the Perry, GA Walmart lot in March 2009.

As I pulled into the Okahumpka Service Plaza at the N. end of Florida's Turnpike he pulled out and this was the best I could do as he drove off Southbound into the evening.

Here's a "holy cow" looking Pete leased to Passport Transport from St Louis back before Fed EX acquired them pausing for me as he pulled out from under the fuel canopy at the Citgo fuel stop near the Ft Pierce Exit of Florida's Turnpike sometime in the mid 90's.

The driver of the classic Pete 359 who was leased on to an Allied agent posed it nicely for me on this concrete slab near Satellite Beach, FL sometime in the late 1980's.	I came across this unit leased to Foreway from Coopersville, MI at the Stafford, MO T/A along I-44 N.E. of Springfield, MO in Oct. 1998.	Found this "albino" Florida Coca-Cola Bottling IH at the Ft Pierce, FL Flying J along I-95 sometime in 2000 or 2001.

Here we are stuck in an 8 mile traffic jam on N.bound I-81 near Roanoke, VA on Oct. 28, 2008 caused from an overturned semi that the wrecker crews had stop traffic while they were righting the wrecked rig in the median.	Central Transport & Estes Express S.bound on I-81 while we were in that Roanoke area traffic jam. I always stay in the far left lane during backups so I can see trucks moving in the opposite direction and those going in the same direction as us better.	Caldwell Freight Lines, Inc. is a sharp new furniture delivery fleet from NC. This Pete had just pulled out of the Loves Travel Plaza and was headed back to I-81 S. of Stephens City, VA on Nov. 3, 2008.

	This harvester was right along U.S. 11 a little South of Mt Jackson in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley in early Nov. 2008.

Nice background setup for this Food City "shopping cart" that was at a S. bound I-81 rest area near Atkins/Marion on Nov. 3, 2008.	I didn't catch the name of this fleet from Montana (I believe) that was stopped by the Transport For Christ chapel at the Wytherville, VA T/A on I-77 X-41 near Wytheville, VA also on Nov. 3, 2008.	How's this for an oversize load!! It was parked at the I-81 N. bound rest area near Salem, VA on Oct. 28, 2008.

This heavy hauler from Ohio was at I-81 X-323 Flying J on Nov. 3, 2008. Depending if one is headed North or South. This is the last or first exit I-81 in Virginia just South of the Potomac River and WV state line.	You see alot of these forest/timber products chip/sawdust type trailer around Central and South Georgia in support of the large logging industries found here. This unit had stopped at the Perry, GA Walmart in Sept. 2008.	Chemical products company W. R. Grace operated a private fleet for many years and during the mid 80's the then new KW T-600 was the flagship OEM tractor for their longhaul operations. This one was at Whiskey Pete's Truckstop and Casino right near the CA/NV line on I-15 in Feb. 1987.

I came across this colorful MacSteel Service Centers USA from their Charlottesville, VA plant along at the first exit North of the Big Walker Mountain Tunnel on I-77 near Bland, VA on Nov. 4, 2008.	Hazwaste and bulk hauler Suttles Truck Leasing from Demopolis, AL was the owner of this immaculate KW T-2000 that was at the Okahumka Service Plaza of Florida's Turnpike early evening on Aug. 31, 1997.	I like the logo and colors Conley Transport from Searcy, AR uses. I was lucky to find these twins just pulling off of the fuel islands at the I-81 X-323 Flying J on the VA/WV line Nov. 3, 2008.

The Lee-Hi is a long time in business and well known truckers stop that is situated inbetween I-81 & where I-64 splits off from I-81 toward West Virginia. Ashley Furniture Industries from Arcadia, WI was at the Madison, GA Pilot where I-20 & U.S. 441 cross each other.	Here's an extra sharp Pete with Eubanks lettered on the cab door from what looks like NJ at the S.B. I-95 rest area just N. of Ft Pierce, FL I took sometime in the mid 1990's.	This Freightliner was leased on with Frontier Transport based near Atlanta and had pulled into the S.B. I-75 rest area just before the I-75 & I-475 split a little N. of Macon, GA.

These are a few pic's from our recent vacation. Sorry about the windshield wiper getting into the picture of the UPS/Overnite truck that Lisa took. It was drizzling just enough to have the wipers on intermittent. This photo op came up and Lisa only had a few seconds to fire this shot off. This was the first Cascadia that I've seen pulling a "covered wagon". It was running for Jaro Transportation, Inc. from Warren, OH and was at the madison, GA Pilot.	This O/O was leased to Lone Star Transportation out of Texas and was layed over at the Great Inn next to the Perry W/M. I'll be buying my own digital in the next few weeks. No more prints after these final 4 rolls. Not sure if that's good, bad or just part of dealing with the future.	A lucky find on a morning shopping run. This extra sharp new big bunk Pete that had pulled into the Perry, GA Walmart lot in March 2009.
