Here is a Ford LTL9000 garbage truck, when they were three-man operated trucks. They are now one-man operated.
Ford LTL900. This particular Ford is not B-Double rated, which is unusual now days in Oz and the owner/driver runs between Melbourne in Victoria to Perth in Western Australia a one way trip of about 3453 kilometres.
Here is a brand new Freightliner Argosy cabover sitting on the lot at Freightliner/Mercedes Benz on the cnr. of South & Grand Junction Roads at Regency Park, Adelaide, South Australia.
This Freightliner Argosy belongs to Linehaul Australia, they operate out of Adelaide in South Australia to all East Coast capital cities as well as from Millicent in the South East of South Australia hauling toilet paper to Brisbane in Queensland. This rig is driven by a friend of Krystal's. The stairway was disabled so the drivers could not damage it when reversing into loading bays.
Kenworth K100E B-Double that is used to transport the safety cars and computer equipment around the nation for the V8 Super Car Series this photo was taken by Tony Brown at one of the east coast race tracks.
This is a Kenworth K100G and it was one of the units that Linehaul Australia had before they changed to Freightliner's this rig is Unit 57 and a Cat engine and 18 speed Eaton/Fuller transmission and rides on air. The picture was taken outside of Krystal's friend's home.
This rig may look the same as unit 57 but there is a slight difference this one has driving lights on the bull bar. It used to belong to Linehaul Australia and was taken at Krystal's friend's home.
This is a Mack Titan it's an Owner/Driver unit that is leased to a company that moves mainly furniture and is situated in the light industrial area near where I live. It is fitted with a bullbar. bug deflector, bull lights and a hi-rise wind deflector. This Mack tows a bogie axle pantec (van) trailer.
This Mercedes Benz no longer travels hiways & biways of Australian roads and is only used as a yard tug, it is still hooked to a B-Double trailer here after bringing it around from the rear yard at Booth Transport in Lonsdale, Adelaide, Sth. Australia. The Benz is a 1424 model with a six cylinder engine and 10 speed trans. and has steel leaf spring suspension.
This is Luke Sieders old White Road Boss race truck, with a modified bonnet. This has now been replaced by the M.A.N. that is featured in the next race truck photo. The photo was taken by Krystal's good friend Tony Brown.
This Western Star was taken by Krystal's friend Tony Brown in the back blocks of Wingfield, Adelaide in South Australia and was an arranged photo take. The rig is fitted with a Cat 3408 18 speed Eaton trans with Eaton diffs, Hi-rise sleeper, steel bull bar, bull lights, blue bug deflector, Hi-rise air intakes, twin exhaust stakes and quad fuel tanks.

This is a Ford L8000 sitting in the yard of Stilwell Ford at Regency Park a northern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia it was taken during a sunny day break back in May 2001.
Krystal thought that her American trucking friends might like to see what South Australian truck drivers pay for registration. These prices do not include insurance or stamp duty or any other cost.
Here are the freight rates that are paid to drivers in Australia.
Here is a 1999 Mack Magnum and a picture of the interior. This will give us all an idea of the Euro Renault/Mack Magnum interior. It is said that you can actually stand right against the windscreen as the motor does not intrude into the cabin as on other cabovers. These pictures came from a Mack brochure.
Here is a Ford LNT9000 fitted with a Cummins 400hp motor, 15spd Road Ranger trans, has airbag suspension, and a sleeper fitted with air cheating wings and top of sleeper air deflector kit. This rig was spotted at a company called Seeley International waiting to be loaded with house air conditioners bound for the east coast of Oz.
Iveco 4700 that was drivien again by Krystal's friend who lives at the end of the street. The truck has a 500hp Detroit engine and 18 speed trans with a typical U.S. rear end and rides on air suspension.
This is called an RFW this truck is an explosives carrier for a mining company in Queensland. This photo is the property of the RFW Company
This is a Nissan UD pantec (straight Truck), this truck is fitted with a Bullbar, BullLights, halfscreen stone guard and Airhorns which means it must do local country work as I can't see any other reason for it to have these fitted.
This truck is an Isuzu FRR and a street cleaner, it is a dual control rig with steering wheel and all foot controls duplicated on both sides the photo was taken out front of my home on a lazy summers day last year 2001. This is an International Acco garbo truck of one man operation, it shows the wheelie bin being emptied into the compactor at the front of the rig.
